Sober Awkward podcast artwork
Sober Awkward
by soberawkward
Winner, Best Well-Being Podcast at The Australian Podcast Awards 2024Have you ever woken up after a big night out and declared, “I’m never drinking again,” only to find yourself waving 0 at a barman by Happy Hour? Yep, Vic’s been there too.Join Victoria Vanstone, award-winning podcaster, author, and former binge-drinking party animal, as she explores what it’s really like to be sober in a world absolutely soaked in alcohol. Each week on Sober Awkward, Vic dives into boozy topics, social pressures, anxiety, identity wobbles, and the messy reality of quitting drinking, opening up the shame shed of humiliating stories so you don’t have to feel alone in yours. With humour, honesty, and zero judgement, Vic tells it like it is, from vomit and one-night stands to life on the other side of destructive drinking. If you’ve hit a wall, you’re fed up with anxiety, headaches, and blackouts, or you’re just quietly sober-curious, pop the kettle on and learn how to feel the awkward, and do it anyway. Sobriety Snippets for Women Over 40 - Alcohol-Free Living with Soul, Smarts, and a Sense of Humor podcast artwork
Sobriety Snippets for Women Over 40 - Alcohol-Free Living with Soul, Smarts, and a Sense of Humor
by Becca Jacobson
What if sobriety isn’t about giving something up — but finally coming home to yourself… and having a few good laughs along the way? Welcome to Sobriety Snippets, the podcast where women over 40 discover that sober living isn’t about restriction — it’s about freedom, clarity, humor, and a powerful mindset for conscious health. Hosted by Becca Jacobson — educator, mentor, and recovered high-achiever turned conscious living guide — each short, heartfelt (and often hilarious) episode helps you shift from surviving to thriving, one soulful insight at a time. Here, sobriety becomes a spiritual and self-improvement journey — with a wink and a smile. See your past with compassion (and maybe a chuckle). Awaken to higher levels of consciousness and mindset mastery. Reconnect with your body, your truth, and your purpose. Move beyond binge drinking and awaken your natural clarity. If you’re ready to laugh, learn, and live alcohol-free with confidence, mindset, and joy, you’re in the right place. Sobriety Snippets reminds you that you’re not here to quit something — you’re here to remember who you are… and have fun doing it.

We have come together to help one another with the outcome from all angles of addiction using our Erase and Replace Philosophy. Erase negative behaviors by replacing the void left behind with health, service, support system, and recreation. We are here to carry the message of recovery and change the outlook of addiction. Our goal is to spread the message of recovery to the addict and family of the addict who still struggles with addiction and to show that we have discovered a more excellent way to live. Moving from Addict to Athlete, dismisses the old way of thinking that recovery must remain anonymous as you become an Agent of Sobriety and a Champion of recovery. Wife On The Rocks I Gaslighting, Addiction, Codependency, Al Anon, Alcoholism, Recovery podcast artwork
Wife On The Rocks I Gaslighting, Addiction, Codependency, Al Anon, Alcoholism, Recovery
Did you marry the man of your dreams, only to find alcohol seeping into every part of your family? As a woman of faith committed to your vows, do you struggle to walk out your convictions amidst the chaos and confusion devastating your marriage? Do you wish you had someone to confide in without judgment, consequences, or the well-meaning but worst advice ever? Despite your relentless efforts, do you feel betrayed, stuck in a cycle, praying for a breakthrough, and wondering if things will really be okay? Same here. In this podcast, you will find hope regardless of your current situation. Each week, your spirit will be lifted as you recognize you are NOT in this battle alone. You will come to know that only through Him can you learn to model a much-needed peaceful presence to your children, whose little hearts are also wondering if things will be okay. My mission is to share my experience, strength, and hope with women like me who are praying for a breakthrough. The Lord’s light shines even in the darkness of addiction, and the darkness cannot overcome it. I am a wife, a homeschooling momma, and a woman who has learned that nothing is impossible for God. I sometimes wish that I hadn’t had to learn all of this while enduring circumstances I would rather not have gone through, but would my faith be this strong without the trials? I laugh thinking that while you listen, you might mistakenly assume that I have it “all figured out,” because if I am honest, I still can’t figure out how to keep track of my phone most days. However, I have found a peace that surpasses understanding, and I want to share everything God has taught me with you as you navigate this road. Applying the Bible to my situation allows me to shift my eyes off the problem and refocus on my God who can redeem and restore otherwise hopeless situations. Psalms 55:22 tells us, “Cast your burdens on the Lord and he will sustain you. He will not permit the righteous to be moved.” In the eye of the storm, it is hard to have the right perspective when you are walking on eggshells every day, trying to keep your family together! I suspect I am not alone here, and if you can relate to anything I have said, then this podcast is for you. Nothing changes if nothing changes, right? :) So, if you are ready to experience a breakthrough, listen up. You do not have to do this alone, and you didn’t find this podcast by accident. Take a deep breath, even when it seems impossible. Be willing to trust that God can do more than you even imagine, right where you are today, which is so far from where you wanted to be. I know you are running everywhere and doing everything for everyone, but THIS moment of rest is for you! Allow me to serve you a little Peace on the Rocks.

TheWillpowerPodcast with Will Gordon podcast artwork
TheWillpowerPodcast with Will Gordon
by Will Gordon
Sobriety podcast featuring real addiction recovery stories and practical tools that actually work. I'm Will Gordon. Boston school teacher, two-time organ transplant survivor, and a guy who used to hide vodka bottles in places I don't even like remembering. At 35, my liver and kidneys were done. Doctors said weeks, maybe less. Transplants gave me a second shot. Sobriety gave me everything else. This isn't some shiny recovery show. It's raw conversations about what addiction actually feels like, how messy getting sober really is, and the quiet moments that slowly pull you back to life. Every Friday I talk with people who've been to the edge - some still hanging on by their fingernails - and we unpack the doubts, the small wins, the tools that actually work when everything else fails. If you're fighting cravings, questioning if it's worth it, or just need to hear someone who gets it... this is for you. Real stories. Real tools. No bullshit. AND ALWAYS with Respect and Compassion. 🎧 New Episodes Every Friday: One listen could reframe your life. 🙏 Every donation helps keep this content going and reaching the people who need it most. → https://buymeacoffee.com/thewillpowerpodcast JOIN THE MOVEMENT: • YouTube: @TheWillpowerPodcast (full video eps—subscribe for the visuals that hit harder). • Audio Platforms: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audible • Instagram: @thewillpowerpodcast (daily Reels, tips, and community vibes). • TikTok: @willgordonsober • Connect Direct: thewillpowerpodcast@gmail.com.
